Erasmus+ Sport
Project Details
Description
The GreenTennis project, "Tennis for a Greener Future," is an Erasmus+ Key Action 2 cooperation initiative aimed at promoting environmental sustainability in the sports sector under the Erasmus+ Programme. The project involves partners from six countries and was developed in collaboration with AIforlives, which contributed to the proposal preparation. The project seeks to reduce the tennis industry’s carbon footprint by providing support and training to National Tennis Centers (NTCs) on topics such as sustainable transportation and waste management. It also aims to raise awareness among young players, coaches, and the tennis community about the impacts of climate change, fostering a sustainable tennis ecosystem. Through the development of guidelines, educational materials, and a carbon footprint tracking app, this project leads the way in increasing environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices within the wider tennis community. It can be highlighted in your company’s PIF as an innovative, international cooperation project dedicated to advancing environmental sustainability.
